Is the Pineal Gland a Third Eye?

Did you realize that your body actually has three physical eyes?
Our mysterious third eye was pondered by mystics through the ages, and has long been believed to be the source of a higher inner vision.
You may be surprised to learn that such a third eye actually does exist. It is a tiny gland in your brain — the pineal gland. The pineal gland is located in the exact geometric center of your brain. Interestingly, this correlates to the exact location of the ancient Great Pyramid that sits in the center of our physical planet.
Your pineal gland is about the size of a pea, and sits in a tiny cave behind and above the pituitary gland. It is located directly behind your eyes, and is attached to your brain’s third ventricle.
And yes, real.
The true function of this mysterious gland has long been contemplated by philosophers and spiritual adepts. The ancient Greeks believed the pineal gland was the third eye — our connection to the Realms of Thought. The great philosopher Descartes called it the Seat of the Soul.
The pineal has many characteristics of your exterior eyes, including a lens. It contains a complete map of the visual field of the eyes. It is activated by light, and controls your body’s various natural biorhythms. The pineal works in direct harmony with your hypothalamus gland — the director of thirst, hunger, sexual desire, and the biological clock controlling your aging process.
The pineal secretes melatonin when you are relaxed and visualizing, and also responds to electromagnetic energy. At certain brainwave frequencies such as deep Theta, a sense of our ego boundary often vanishes. Our consciousness is then less concerned with our physical state. According to many ancient traditions, this is when our third eye begins to exhibit special powers.
Ancient Beliefs about the Pineal Gland
Many native traditions, ancient mystical practices and mystery schools refer to the ability of being aware of energy fields at higher levels. This level of awareness is different from our normal level of consciousness, which tends to be mostly concerned with our self-identity.
Although the actual physical presence of the pineal gland was not confirmed until recent times, mystical traditions and esoteric schools have long felt this area of the brain to be the connecting link to alternate realities and higher levels of consciousness.
According to ancient traditions, when the pineal gland awakens, one feels an unusual pressure at the base of their brain. When activated, the pineal gland is said to become a direct line into higher states of consciousness.
Interestingly, the bony plates of the skull directly in front of the third eye do tend to become thinner in long-time meditators and serious seekers.
Developing Your Third Eye
The first step to developing the sensitivity of your third eye is physical relaxation. The ancient mystery schools then have their students develop their pineal gland by first withdrawing their attention from their physical senses. They are then directed to mentally focus on a point in the middle of their forehead. This does not actually use the muscles of your eyes, but is rather an internal focus.
In terms of brainwave training, this would start with establishing good Alpha relaxation. This would be followed by sinking down into conscious Theta to withdraw your focus on any external stimuli.
The trick is to then visualize, very intently, the essence of your energy-based body escaping out through the trap doorâ€at the base of your brain. A popping sound may actually occur in the area of your pineal body at the time you achieve this.
Visualization exercises are the first step in directing the energies in our inner systems to activate the third eye. The magnetic field is created around the pineal gland, by focusing the mind on the midway point between the pineal gland and the pituitary body. The creative imagination visualizes something, and the thought energy of the mind gives life and direction to this form.

**MIND POWER EXERCISE**

SUPER HUMAN MIND POWER is not a fantasy. Here’s the science behind it… and an ancient Shaolin mind power exercise you can do to prove it to yourself.
We all know that we are composed of atoms. But what are atoms made of?
Physicists say atoms are composed of electrons, protons and neutrons – but are actually point particles. Point particles have no mass and occupy no space, and are therefore not affected by time.
Plus an electron isn’t a thinga t all, but only a point of quantum possibility.
So, we are composed of elements that have no mass, occupy no space, are not affected by time and that no one has ever seen. We are each pure potential or possibility.
Modern day physics, psychology and philosophy all show us that reality is truly not what it seems.
We can only perceive reality through our five senses – which must also be composed of point particles because they are part of our physical experience which is composed of point particles.
Let’s start with vision
When you look at a tree, photons of light reflected from the tree focus on the retina of your eye. Your eye, in turn, releases a flow of electrical impulses which are sent to your brain’s visual cortex. This is then converted into an image of a tree by your brain.
Is the tree really real? What you’re actually experiencing is an image generated in your mind. And by the way, photons are also classed as point particles – they don’t exist either. Everything you see, hear, taste, touch or smell has been create by your brain from data received by your sensory organs. However real all this may seem to you, it’s all based on your interpretation of mental images and feelings constructed entirely within your mind.
Dreams Have the Same Reality
So… this takes us to dreams and visualizations. When we are awake the reality we experience is created from our sensory data input and our mental interpretation of what is happening outside us. The same process of reality generation occurs in dreams, lucid dreams, and visualizations. Brain uses the same neurons to see an apple as it does to dream of, or use your mind power to visualize, an apple.
So, what’s the difference? REALLY NONE.
You are NOT a passive observer of a randomly created world – you are the active CREATOR of the world you dream of, visualize, and actually observe and live in.
A Mind Power Secret of Shaolin Monks
What follows is a mind power exercise that has been known for thousands of years.
1) Plant your feet shoulder width apart, and balance your weight comfortably over both feet.
2) Raise one arm out to the side of your body to the height of your shoulder — the palm facing up and with your fingers comfortably outstretched. Bend your arm at the elbow just slightly.
3) Breathe deeply through your nose. Exhale slowly – taking about 6 seconds to complete the exhale, then inhale deeply.
4) Focus your mind on a point about two and a half inches below your navel. This is your body’s center of gravity.
5) With each new breath, imagine this point getting brighter and brighter until it has the power of the sun.
6) Now, imagine power emanating from this sun. See it travel through your entire body… up into your outstretched arm … and all the way out to your fingertips.
7) Then see this energy radiate out your finger tips to the limits of the universe.
8) Now have one or more people try to bend your arm (naturally – not against the joint) by applying pressure slowly at first… then gradually applying more and more force.
9) Do NOT use your muscle power to resist them. Only use your imagination – the power of your mind – nothing else.
You will find, to your amazement and theirs, that they are completely unable to bend your arm even if they are physically very strong. This is not a trick – it is 100% proof of the super power of the truly focused and connected mind. You have the mind power to create anything in your life you can possibly imagine! Super human mind power CAN be learned and developed!
WHY Your Pet Really IS Your Best Friend

Is Your Pet Your Best Friend?
If you feel like your pet dog or cat is your best friend, you might be right.
In fact, science now agrees with you. Here’s the proof your pet truly IS your best friend:
Proof Your Pet Really IS Your Best Friend
If you love animals you already know it’s impossible to be in a bad mood when your loving pet dog looks at you with those soft brown eyes, or when your sweet pet cat rubs up against your leg.
Research agrees about the important mood-enhancing benefits of having a pet: A recent study of New York stockbrokers found that those who adopted a pet dog or cat soon had lower blood pressure and heart rates than a group of stockbrokers who failed to get a pet.
When thinking of ways to reduce stress, talking to a good friend often comes to mind. But there’s strong evidence that having a furry pet best friend can reduce the stress in your life even more.
Plus your pet will always be there for you in ways that other people can’t. Recent research shows that, when doing something stressful, people experienced far less stress when their pets were with them than when a supportive friend or a close mate was present.
The unconditional love and companionship offered by pets is also an excellent antidote to loneliness. Even a short visit by someone else’s pet can be beneficial. Research shows that nursing home residents feel less lonely after a visit by a dog or cat than when they spent time with other people.
So, should you get a pet?
There’s also strong pratical evidence that single children with pets have better social skills that kids without pets. But you probably already know that.
