Are You Chasing the Right Dream

Achieving certain dreams often requires FAR LESS WORK than achieving other, seemingly easier goals. Why is that so?

Because it is much, much harder to work for a goal we do not passionately desire. But when you manage to get yourself focused on what is naturally of passionate interest to you your work becomes play.

Are Your Goals a Good Fit?
Hopefully you’ve invested some thought clarifying your life goals and you know exactly what you want. So why not take a few minutes to ask yourself an important question am I pursuing the right goal for ME?

Here’s why that is so important: You’ll never really achieve your true potential as long as you pour your energy into something that doesn’t really fit your true passions and interests! Does that seem too simple?

Think about that for a moment. It’s unfortunately very easy to automatically adopt someone else’s goal. We were trained to do that very thing as children.

Ninty-nine percent of us were fully expected to achieve the goals our parents and educational system set out for us. Some of us gave in and tried to do so. Some of us rebelled and learned to fail instead. And some of us felt somehow inadequate because we did not have the natural interest and or aptitude to do what we were expected to do.

If you find you never seem to achieve your goals, you may be setting goals you don’t really desire or believe in for yourself.

This is never going to lead to success. What it will lead to is one false start after another and a tendency to want to quit after the first bump in the road.

This is a major dead-end, and will do nothing but gradually erode your self confidence.

Ask Yourself This…
You need to be sure your goal really is YOUR goal for YOUR life. If you feel resistance, take a serious look at that. Ask yourself who you might really be setting that goal for?

Then ask yourself if you really have a burning passion for that goal, and are willing to butt heads with as many so-called failures as necessary to achieve it.

If your answer is no this may be a good time to revisit your goal setting exercise.

Selecting an Appropriate Goal
Three things will happen if you make the effort to refocus yourself around a goal that is more in keeping with your natural talents and passions:

First,
you will be happier, less stressed, and far more productive.

Second,
you will be far more likely to hang in as you hit those jarring bumps in the road.

And third, there is a higher probability you will achieve a level of excellence at what you’re doing. This increases your value thereby increasing your potential for increased return on your efforts.

So put your goal to the test. Does it truly measure up to your innermost desires?

Achieve it.
The secrets of goal achievement are actually quite clear cut:

Have burning passion for what is desired,

Set a clear and exact goal to get it,

Make an absolute commitment to achieve the goal,

Be willing to pay the price for achieving it, and

Commit to focused action, focused action and more focused action.

Food That Fights Alzheimers Disease (AD)

Certain foods are natural brain builders, and come can even help fight off the plaque damage associated with Alzheimers (AD).

Every major disease that kills people in this country has an oxidative stress component, says Dr. Joseph of Tufts University. For him and other researchers interested in preserving the brain’s ability to function, oxidative stress is seen as the natural enemy. And this is especially true with Alzheimers (AD).

You are probably already familiar with the importance of some antioxidants like vitamins C and E.  But more recently other antioxidants have come into the limelight. Many are natural chemicals (Flavonoids) that plants have evolved to protect themselves from disease. Flavonoids include the anthocyanins found in brightly colored fruits, and anthoxanthins found in green tea and soybeans.

It seems the most colorful fruits and veggies are the most potent in anthocyanins  — including blueberries, blackberries and cranberries. And their antioxidants also have anti-inflammatory actions. 

Here’s great news: Blueberries actually reverse some of the effects of aging on the brain — and boost short-term memory and spatial learning. People who eat a cup of blueberries a day perform well on tests of motor skills. And purple grape juice is also rich in flavonoids, and boosts mental performance.

And then there is curcumin — the active component of turmeric. This has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and helps remove the harmful metal buildup of metal associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Recent lab tests suggest that it directly targets the brain plaques linked to Alzheimer’s disease (AD).

This may help explain why India, where turmeric commonly tints curry dishes, has a particularly low rate of Alzheimer’s (AD).

Quantum Physics and the Law of Attraction

Quantum physics has clearly established that everything is basically energy in motion. Your automobile, the walls of your office, your desk, the clothing on your body, your computer — it is all vibrating energy.

Thoughts also consist of this very same energy, and are a powerful force in terms of creating  reality (how we view and respond to the world inside and outside our own self).

Thought is an interesting phenomenon. By its very nature, it is forever trying to manifest itself into physical expression. You can compare your thoughts to the sparks that rise from a campfire. For although your thoughts contain the essence and potential power of the fire, they exist only briefly, then simply dissipate.

Because a thought lasts only a few seconds — you may think that a single thought has much inherent power. Enter the power of focus and repetition: A thought that is repeated with intense focus becomes concentrated mental power,  just as sunlight can create fire when focused through a magnifying glass.

The more often a focused thought is repeated, the more energy and power it generates. This is not theory —  it is based on the fact that each thought creates hundreds (or even thousands) of new neural connections in our brain.

The old theory of the power of attraction states that this is how we attract circumstances matching our thought images. There is a science-based way to interpret this same phenomenon. Here’s how it works: Any well-focused thought that is repeated often generates impressions of the desired reality in the subconscious mind.

And since the subconscious mind basically operates 24/7, and constantly scans our internal and external realities, it has been primed to notice anything that reminds it of the focused thought.

If you bought a new red Toyota RAV4, for example, you would suddenly notice every red RAV4 you pass on the highway. They were always there — it’s just that your excitement over your new RAV4 has primed your subconscious mind to note everything related to your new vehicle.

Are thoughts part of quantum reality?
Quantum physics tells us that you and I, as observers, have a direct and very real effect on the nature of reality. This is no exaggeration. Tiny sub-atomic particles (those you can’t see with your eyes) simply behave as unmanifested energy in accordance with what are called waves of probability. BUT the moment someone looks for the position of one of these particles, everything changes. At that moment they will suddenly convert from energy to observable matter.

So how does this apply to our day-to-day human realities? Try this: If focused observation can affect the outside world in such a radically powerful way, imagine what mastering that ability can do in your own life.

In my clinical studies I discovered I could tell a lot just by observing someone’s brainwave patterns. Anxious people, for example, tend to produce too many high Beta waves.
